Soul diva Patti LaBelle and her husband and manager, L. Armstead Edwards, have listed their condo in West Los Angeles at about $1.4 million.

The couple are spending most of their time on the East Coast, and LaBelle, 55, is planning to do another Broadway show. She and her band went on tour in 1998 after a Broadway stint. LaBelle is known for R&B; tunes, bluesy ballads and pop hits (including “New Attitude” and “Lady Marmalade”) as well as spiritual songs.

The condo is in the Wilshire, a Wilshire Corridor building with a pool, gym and wine room with a 36-bottle capacity locker for each unit. The couple’s two-bedroom unit is about 2,600 square feet. The condo also has city and mountain views; a marble steam room, and private elevator access.

LaBelle and Edwards have owned the condo since February 1998. They spent months remodeling, especially in the kitchen. LaBelle co-wrote “LaBelle Cuisine: Recipes to Sing About” (Broadway Books, $25), published in June.

Sue Ann Simon of Coldwell Banker Previews, Beverly Hills north office, has the listing.

Elmarie Wendel, who plays the eccentric landlord Mrs. Dubcek in the NBC comedy series “3rd Rock From the Sun,” has purchased a three-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot home in Studio City in the $500,000 range.

The actress was previously living in another Studio City house, which she plans to rent out. She also has a getaway in Malibu.

Wendel, about 60, was born on an Iowa farm and danced with her sisters in the Grand Ole Opry before she appeared on and off Broadway, in a touring company of “Annie” and on such TV shows as “Murphy Brown,” “Seinfeld” and “Murder, She Wrote.” Her daughter, actress J.C. Wendel, was a regular on “Dave’s World.”

Monty Iceman of Gibson & Associates represented Elmarie Wendel in buying her new home.
