Assisted Suicide

“A Legal Way Out” (Sunday Report, Nov. 14) is a very moving story. I do not doubt the sincerity of the people involved. However, it cannot be used as an argument for euthanasia, because you can find many “good deaths” of people living fully until the end in spite of pain and suffering.

Faith in God is a big difference in the way people live and die. I would prefer living until the last possible moment, believing that my life means something, rather than being dispatched like an animal with no afterlife. Doctors may try to heal me or alleviate pain, but only God should be able to end my life or tell me when I should die.
