Overpopulation

Re your Nov. 18 editorial, “Stuck in Traffic? Think Sprawl”: Interesting that The Times will discuss every aspect of sprawl other than the root cause, population increase. In L.A. and the entire country that increase is being fueled today by out-of-control legal and illegal immigration, adding 75 million people to the population in just the next 30 years! Let’s not talk about building more infrastructure; let’s discuss limiting population growth. A country of nearly 300 million people does not need 1 million legal immigrants a year and nearly that many in illegal immigrants. What has happened to common sense?
