U.S. Paratrooper Killed in Accident
From Times Wire Reports
A U.S. paratrooper died after his parachute failed to open in an exercise over eastern Kosovo. The soldier, whose name was not immediately released, died of his injuries, U.S. military officials said. He was among more than 120 U.S. soldiers who took part in the exercise near the town of Vitina. At least three other American service personnel have been killed in Kosovo since June, when the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ended its air war in Yugoslavia.
