UC Irvine’s Griffith Out for Season

The UC Irvine women’s soccer team has lost defender Jennifer Griffith for the remainder of the season because of a knee injury.
Brittny Zimmerman, an Anteater forward, will be out at least 10 days because of a concussion.

Monique Gerlach, a Santa Margarita middle blocker, has made an oral commitment to attend Colorado, according to her volleyball club coach, Charlie Brande.
POOL
The National Wheelchair Poolplayers Assn.’s 9-ball championship continues today at Danny K’s Billiards & Sports Bar in Orange.
Approximately 80 of the top wheelchair pool players from the U.S., Canada and Europe will compete for more than $15,000 in cash and prizes.
