“I had a 1996 Robert Craig ‘Howell Mountain’ Cabernet at a wine-tasting. It’s just terrific, one of the best balanced Cabs I’ve had in a long time. I liked how the flavor and aroma elements were in harmony with one another. It had wonderful fruit character. I think cherries are the main thing people think of (with Cabernet), but it also had spicy elements like cloves. Really tasty. It would be terrific with something a little more complex than steaks.
