Genoa Technology Inc., a supplier of hardware-testing services and automated-testing products, and Revision Labs Inc., which provides software quality assurance testing services, have merged to form QualityLogic Inc. in Moorpark.

QualityLogic’s clients range from Internet start-ups such as 800.COM to Fortune 500 corporations such as IBM, Microsoft, Xerox and Intel.

QualityLogic will provide a range of testing services, as well as continue to develop and market specialized commercial tools for testing printers, facsimiles, scanners, digital cameras and multi-function devices.

The new company also will offer training on software development.

“Quality assurance is one of the primary drivers behind the success or failure of organizations,” said C. Michael Smith, QualityLogic’s president. “This merger has made us unique in the industry. We alone have the resources and expertise to provide a full gamut of quality-assurance solutions to our clients.”

The merger of Genoa and Revision Labs is the culmination of a partnership that began in 1997, when the companies joined forces to provide a local test lab for Hewlett-Packard’s printer division in Boise, Idaho.

In addition to headquarters in Moorpark, QualityLogic has additional facilities in Beaverton, Ore.; Redmond, Wash.; Boise; and Lexington, Ky.
