Wine : WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING? : Rob Davis, Jordan Vineyard & Winery
“A 1997 Didier Dagueneau ‘Silex’ Pouilly-Fume. It was outstanding. I liked the freshness and acidity, especially for a Sauvignon Blanc; so many of them have residual sugar. When I traveled through the Loire Valley, I fell in love with this. It had such a great expression of fruit. And it had notes of melon, almost like Crenshaw melons. It had wonderful layers; almost every time I put my nose to it, melons came out.”
