Biomedical Group to Meet in Long Beach

Makers of manufacturing equipment for pharmaceutical, medical, biotech and related industries are scheduled to assemble in Long Beach this week for a three-day gathering to discuss advancements in products and services. The InterphexWest convention, sponsored by the Society for Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Professionals, begins today with a seminar on the development, production and marketing of nutritional, botanical and combination products. The gathering continues through Wednesday with a trade exhibition that features more than 180 companies displaying equipment and machinery for research, development, processing and packaging of products. A conference has also been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss, among other issues, new design and construction techniques for biotech facilities.
