Tandy Chooses FileNet Intranet Management

FileNet Corp., a Costa Mesa maker of Web content management products, said Monday that Tandy Corp. has agreed to use FileNet’s Panagon Web services as the foundation for Tandy’s intranet content management.

Terms were not released.

FileNet said in a press release that Tandy, which operates the Radio Shack electronics chain, plans to have up to 5,000 stores connected to the new intranet system by mid-2001. The intranet will allow store personnel to access current corporate information.
