The New York International Auto Show will mark its 100th anniversary this week. The show will present more than 1,000 new models, including 15 world debuts, Saturday through April 30 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Among the debuts: the 2001 Mazda Millenia, right, which features an extensively restyled exterior and upgraded interior, a stiffer chassis and an optional 2.3-liter Miller-cycle V-6 engine that offers 40 horsepower more than the standard 2.5-liter, 170-horsepower V-6.

AT THE PUMP

Southern California gasoline prices rose 5.6 cents a gallon in April, with the average price for self-serve regular hitting $1.757, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California. Still, prices are slowly edging down from their peak three weeks ago on news of production increases. The Auto Club’s monthly Fuel Gauge Report, released Tuesday, is based on a survey of 2,800 gas stations.
