Bloomberg News

Delphi Automotive Systems Corp., the world’s biggest auto parts maker, said it will make dashboard hookups for Palm Inc.’s electronic organizers, linking to the best-selling line in its latest move to provide drivers with information from the Internet. The docking station will fit into conventional cup holders and power the Palm organizer as the driver uses voice commands to call up calendars, phone lists and other functions. The user can also browse Web sites that download weather, stocks, sports, traffic and other data into Palm devices. Delphi plans to have the dashboard hookups on the market by the end of the year, both in newly assembled vehicles and through stores, a Delphi spokesman said.
