Erica Sorgi, a Capistrano Valley High School senior, dropped out of the women’s platform competition at the U.S. National Indoor Diving Championships in Minneapolis to focus on the three-meter final on Friday. She is seeded fifth in the three-meter. Kristen Marquis, a former Santa Margarita standout, qualified for the Olympic Trials by finishing 11th in women’s platform diving. Marquis attends the University of Texas. P.J. Bogart won the one-meter title, edging fellow Minnesota alumnus Dan Croaston.
