Population

* Your April 17 editorial, “A World War on Disease,” addresses only part of a worldwide health problem. At the same time steps are taken to preserve life, the world population burgeons, most prominently in poor, underdeveloped countries.

Unless all women are unconditionally offered affordable (free) birth control, populations will continue to swell and world health will continue to deteriorate.
