Louis Silverman was appointed Monday as president and chief executive of Quality Systems Inc., a Tustin maker of computer-based practice management and electronic medical records systems.

Quality Systems said in a news release that Silverman, who was chief operations officer at CorVel Corp., replaces interim President and Chief Executive Patrick Cline, who will continue as president of the company’s MicroMed division.

The company announced in April that Sheldon Razin, its president, chief executive and founder, retired. Cline was named interim president and chief executive. Razin remains chairman.
