Smith Micro Acquiring TouchStone’s CheckIt

Smith Micro Software Inc., a developer of software for wireless and Internet markets, said Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire TouchStone Software Corp.’s CheckIt line of products. Terms were not disclosed.

Smith Micro, based in Aliso Viejo, said in a press release that it will use the CheckIt products and technologies to strengthen its position in software solutions for the wireless and Internet markets.

The acquisition is expected to close prior to the end of the third quarter.
