The Newport Beach provider of software, modeling and systems engineering posted second quarter net income of $442,000, or 3 cents a share, which included pretax nonrecurring expenses of $975,000 associated with its name change from SM&A; and a subsequent rebranding effort. Net income for the prior-year period totaled $2.2 million, or 14 cents a share. Revenue rose 22% to a record $32.4 million.
