Representatives from nearly a dozen computer companies and other fields were on hand for a Leisure World computer expo that began Tuesday in Clubhouse 2. The two-day event continues until 4 p.m. today.

Companies attending the expo included Microsoft, Comp USA, Gateway Country and Pac Bell. Hundreds of the community’s residents made their way through the expo.

Also on hand were members of Leisure World’s two computer clubs, one for PC and one for Mac users. Both clubs have thousands of members and expect to continue increasing memberships.

“What’s driving the popularity of the club is children are giving their parents computers,” said Charles Clark, president of the Mac Users Group.
