Beating Women

* I would like to know when was the last time Agustin Gurza had any form of contact with our local Latino street thugs or gangsters, whom he claims “never beat up on women” (Aug. 15). I’m sure if he would go down to the Twin Towers jail he would find at least a handful of local gang members in jail for beating up a woman, especially if it was a girlfriend or wife.

I don’t know where he came up with that ridiculous statement for the end of his article, but maybe next time he is going to make a statement like that he should investigate it first or visit a local women’s shelter. I am a proud member of the Latin community, but let’s not give praise where it is not deserved.
