Carol Rapf, 74, Malibu Realtor who handled the buying and selling of multimillion-dollar beach homes for celebrities. The daughter of attorney and Beverly Hills Mayor David Tannenbaum, Rapf spent most of her adult life in Malibu. She worked in real estate in the pricey community for the last two decades and became a fixture in The Times Real Estate section’s “Hot Property” column written by Ruth Ryon. That was because her clients were among Hollywood’s elite--among them the late John Houseman, actor Rob Lowe, producer Jon Peters and composer Burt Bacharach. Rapf also bought and sold homes for such wealthy businessmen as Hugh Hefner and German industrialist Peter Dussmann. According to her son, attorney David Weil, Rapf was considered the most successful real estate agent in Malibu until 1997 when she was felled by a stroke. On Monday in Malibu.
