Quackenbush

Re “Lost Opportunity,” Aug. 23: The real travesty of justice is that [former Insurance Commissioner] Chuck Quackenbush will probably never be prosecuted. It’s funny how hard the average American is on the poor and the petty crime that some commit, whether it be welfare fraud or stealing a six-pack of beer. Imagine the billions of dollars of losses due to white-collar crime and the scumbags who get away with it.

Conservatives constantly fight programs that help the poor, while using loopholes or deceit to steal the poor’s money. Yes, Democrats are guilty of the same, but at least they make a better effort to serve those who really need it. Throw Quackenbush and others like him in jail!
