Buyproduce Names Lally President, CEO

Kenneth R. Lally has been appointed president and chief executive of Buyproduce, an Irvine-based provider of technology services for the perishable food industry. He was formerly executive vice president of worldwide sales and services at Epicor Software Corp. Interim Chief Executive Dave Schaefer will resume his position as chief financial officer.

* Thomas B. Rogers has been named senior vice president and director of client relations for the South Coast region of City National Bank. He will also serve as chairman of City National’s Orange County Advisory Committee. Before joining City National, Rogers was senior vice president and treasurer of the Irvine Co. Before that, he was executive vice president and division administrator of Security Pacific National Bank’s Real Estate Industries Group, Southern division, and senior vice president and chief credit officer for Security Pacific’s California Corporate Group.

* James F. Moscowitz has joined Corbin & Wertz in Irvine as a principal in the business management consulting team. He specializes in business valuation and discount analysis.

* Jay T. Thompson has been named a partner in the Irvine office of Arter & Hadden LLP. He will be part of the corporate practice team. Thompson was previously a partner at the firm of Drummy King White & Gire. Before that, he was with the firm of Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP.

* Rabin D. Lai has been appointed president of Savant Audiovisuals Inc. in Fullerton and will assume his duties Jan. 2. He is currently a vice president of Axis Inc. in Peoria, Ill., responsible for finance, corporate marketing and the engineering services division. Howard J. Sloane, the company’s founder, will focus on new program development.

* Mark Canright has been appointed vice president of original equipment manufacturers sales for Viking Components Inc. He had been vice president of sales for Callidus Software, responsible for sales operations throughout the Americas. Before that, Canright was senior vice president of worldwide sales and customer support responsible for worldwide operations at Exabyte Corp., and held regional and area sales and management positions for Convergent Technologies, Data General Corp. and Burroughs Corp., now Unisys Corp.

* Benjamin A. Gibert has been named to the new position of vehicle/brand director, Mercury Vehicles for Lincoln Mercury in Irvine. Based in Dearborn, Mich., he will work in partnership with the Mercury brand team in Irvine.

* Jay Roberge has joined Knowledge Networks Inc. in Dana Point as chief executive. He will also serve on the board of directors. Previously, Roberge was a founding member and vice president of marketing and sales for Canada Internet Direct Inc., now Look Communications, an Internet service provider.

* Richard Lamparello has been named director of operations for Trinity Golf, a Tustin golf club manufacturer. He was formerly product manager at Kent Sports Inc. in Chatsworth.

* Edward Gallaway has been named vice president of manufacturing for Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. He joined the company in January as plant general manager.

* Felix Veski has joined Erogo Inc. in Tustin as chief strategy officer. Veski had previously been vice president of marketing for Solect. Before that, Veski was at Sun Microsystems for seven years, in sales and business development positions.
