Farmers Market Sets Year’s Last Sales Day

The Brea Farmers Market on Birch Street will hold its final market day of the year Tuesday before beginning the transition back to a seasonal format. The market will likely reopen next spring with a variety of seasonal crops.

It has been open every Tuesday since June, and features both fresh produce and plants as well as specialty crafts and prepared foods.

A 300-year-old bonsai tree will be on exhibit at the market today, and a variety of bonsai plants also will be available for sale from the collection of grower Jay Joeng.
