Estrogen Considered Cancer-Causing
Estrogen, the so-called female hormone, should be listed as a known cancer-causing agent, advisors told the National Toxicology Panel in Washington. The hormone, which occurs naturally in women and men, has long been linked to cancers, and birth-control pills that use estrogen have long been known to increase the risk of some cancers. The advisors also urged that wood dust and ultraviolet radiation be listed as known carcinogens.
