Yupi.com Slashing Staff

Spanish-language Internet portal Yupi.com said it is laying off 90 employees, about half of its U.S. staff. The Miami-based company said the Web site and its various services should be unaffected by the layoffs. Yupi management is considering whether to reduce its overseas work force of 80.
