Sonicport Shareholders OK Acquisition of Dataworks

Sonicport Inc. in Chatsworth said its shareholders have approved the acquisition of US Dataworks Inc. Shareholders also approved the company’s name change to Sonicport; the ratification of the appointment of Singer, Lewak, Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP as the company’s independent public accountants; and the adoption of a 2000 stock option plan.

The company anticipates that the acquisition of US Dataworks will be completed on or about Feb. 12. Terms were not disclosed.

US Dataworks develops, markets and supports transaction processing software for Windows NT computer systems.
