“I had a Sine Qua Non wine. They usually produce Rhone-style wines, but I came across this one at a wine store, a ’97 Pinot Noir. With every vintage, they change the name; this one was ‘The Complicator.’ I’ll tell you why: When you taste this wine, it doesn’t taste like a Pinot. But it’s very good. It’s not even in a Burgundy-style bottle, and it has a neat label. It’s very different, and the wine is very good.”
