Oodles of Google Help

Around here, we love the Google search engine. But it’s a hassle always switching over to https://www.google.com to get to it. The good folks at Google have solved the problem with the Google Toolbar, a free application that works seamlessly on Windows machines running Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Sorry, no Mac or Netscape Navigator version yet.

The toolbar enables users to drop in their search query and scour the 1.3 billion Web pages cataloged by Google. It also ranks pages on a scale of 1 to 10. Those are both handy features, but the really nice thing about the toolbar is that it offers a no-brainer find function once Google delivers surfers to the appropriate site. It even highlights search terms on the page, making it incredibly easy to scan the results.
