From Times Wire Reports

Russia lost six communications satellites when a booster rocket carrying them into space from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Russian Arctic failed shortly after launch, Strategic Missile Forces spokesman Ilshat Bakchurin said. Three civilian and three military satellites were launched Wednesday atop a Ukrainian-made Cyclone-3 booster rocket. Radio contact with the satellites was lost, and they burned up in the atmosphere. It was the second such failure in as many months.
