The city is holding a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for its long-awaited skate park. The event will be held at 4 p.m. in Arovista Park, at the corner of West Imperial Highway and Berry Street. The 10,000-square-foot skateboard haven will have a pyramid, vertical walls and a kidney-shaped pool for beginning to advanced skateboarders. Construction of the $209,000 project is expected to take three months.
