An Argentine tribunal has sentenced eight people to life in prison for the killing of magazine photographer Jose Luis Cabezas. Those sentenced were three former provincial police officers, four civilians and the former security guard of a prominent business mogul suspected of crime links whom Cabezas had photographed. A fourth police officer was sentenced to four years on a fraud charge related to the case. Cabezas--who had been shot and his car set ablaze with his body inside--was found dead Jan. 25, 1997, in Pinamar. He had been shadowing businessman Alfredo Yabran, who later killed himself.
