Death Toll in Train Crash Climbs to 9

German rescue workers dug through debris today for more bodies in the wreckage of an express train that derailed and plowed into a house near Cologne, killing at least nine people and injuring 100. Police said the death toll in Sunday’s accident could rise further. The train derailed as it broke the speed limit on a restricted section near the suburban station of Bruehl. The train was en route from Amsterdam to Switzerland. Twenty-two people--16 Germans, four Americans and two Dutch citizens--believed to be on the train were missing. Rail officials said the train was traveling at 75 mph in an area where the limit is 25 mph.
