DWP Could Learn From Pop

Share

So right off the top, no questions asked, the Department of Water and Power has to include in its yearly budget $4,440,000 to keep its lights on all night (“Why the DWP Building Keeps Shining,” by Leslee Komaiko, So SoCal, Jan. 30). That total is obviously passed right on to all DWP customers, who have no say as to whether the lights should be left on or off.

When I was growing up, if I left my light on in my room and I wasn’t in there, my Pop would remove the bulb for a few days to teach me the meaning of energy conservation. The DWP could learn a lesson from him.
