Re “Liberals Never Give Credit Where It’s Due,” Commentary, Jan. 4:

In deference to the studied and objective opinion of Cal Thomas, I will agree to give full and sole credit to President Reagan for the collapse and demise of Russia’s evil empire, if he will agree to give full and sole credit to President Clinton for seven years of low inflation, low interest rates, low unemployment, deficit reduction and the unparalleled growth and strength of the U.S. economy. A deal?
