TriZetto Acquisition to Aid Internet Effort

The TriZetto Group Inc., which provides the health care industry with Internet-enabled application services, said Tuesday that it has acquired a Petaluma health care Internet development company.

Terms were not disclosed.

The Newport Beach company said in a press release that it expects the acquisition of Healthcare Media Enterprises Inc. to benefit TriZetto and its customers by accelerating enhancement of the company’s business health Web site, which contains information and links to related sites.

Included in the acquisition is Healthcare Media’s subsidiary, Healthcare Media Private Ltd. in Trivandrum, India.
