GARDEN GROVE

More than 400 students have given up their school holiday today to participate in the second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Service Day. Organized by the Volunteer Center of Orange County, students will be packaging food, diapers, clothing and other items for at-risk, expectant mothers at the Garden Grove Community Development Council. Other students will be picking excess vegetables in Irvine for the Second Harvest Food Bank, to distribute to needy families. Information: (714) 953-5757.
