Buswell Resigns as Head of Franklin Telecom

Peter Buswell has resigned as president and chief operating officer of Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village.

Buswell had held the positions since June 1998. He announced his resignation in an open letter posted on his Internet site.

“The company has been in ongoing negotiations with Peter since receiving a confidential letter of resignation dated Dec. 14,” said Frank Peters, Franklin chairman and CEO. “Because of our continuing discussions, we were startled to see the notice he posted on the Internet. We have great respect for the contributions he has made to Franklin and continue to hope that we can define a significant role and situation which will allow him to continue with us as Franklin moves forward.”

Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices, including hardware and software products.
