Philadelphia Flyer captain Eric Lindros was cleared to practice but won’t return to the lineup until next week after his third concussion in 22 months. Lindros passed a neurological baseline test, the first step to returning from a concussion. He said he had no symptoms while riding an exercise bike and lifting weights, but acknowledged he had headaches as recently as Thursday, when he skated for the first time since sustaining the concussion Jan. 14. . . . Pittsburgh Penguin forward German Titov denied a report in a Russian newspaper that he called the practice methods of Coach Herb Brooks “idiotic,” or said he believed his teammates were “thoroughly sick of his stupid training.” . . . Ottawa Senator left wing Magnus Arvedson remained hospitalized because of bruised abdominal injuries suffered during Thursday’s game against the Flyers, but doctors said he had no internal injuries.
