* Photography--The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History today will open “Science, Spirituality and Survival in the 21st Century: Photographs of the University of California Natural Reserves.” Large-scale works by Michael Arntz focus on some of the few remaining wild places in California. Included are scenes from Carpinteria Marsh, Sedgwick Ranch, Valentine Eastern Sierra Research Site and the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Lab. Through April 30. * Dance--American Repertory Dance Company will present “Legendary California Choreographers” Friday at 8 p.m. at UC Santa Barbara’s Campbell Hall. Five veteran company members will stage a retrospective of West Coast modern dance works, which will include solos and a duet. A meet-the-artists discussion will follow. $12-$18. 893-3535.

* Club Scene--SohO, a restaurant-club in Santa Barbara, will open the “Dancing Under the Influence” concert series Saturday. The first installment will feature Bandidos de Amor performing works from their newest CD, “California Rumba.” Show time: 9:30 p.m. SohO is at 1221 State St. $8. 962-7776.

* Opera--Santa Barbara Grand Opera will present Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E. Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara.
