Los Angeles. Ford L.A. Street Race presents NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series competition on street course surrounding Exposition Park and the Coliseum. Also: Ultra Wheel Spec Trucks, PRO Racing Series and 2000 L.A. Cobra Cup, featuring more than 30 1960s race cars designed by Carroll Shelby. Car shows on both days: “Raw Power,” Saturday, showcasing muscle cars and hot rods; “Style and Class,” Sunday, featuring exotics and classics including Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls-Royce. Events

The Ford L.A. Street Race returns this weekend to the streets around Exposition Park and the Coliseum. But not all the action is on the race course. Each day will feature a car show: “Raw Power” on Saturday, showcasing muscle cars and hot rods, and “Style and Class” on Sunday, featuring exotics such as the one-of-a-kind Laird, an aluminum-bodied sports car with a Jaguar XKE 5.3-liter V-12 engine that puts out 325 horsepower.
