A car bomb exploded outside a paramilitary police barracks in northern Spain, injuring at least one person, news reports said. The attack came less than a day after a city councilor in the southern city of Malaga was shot to death in an attack blamed on the separatist guerrilla group Basque Homeland and Freedom, or ETA. The explosion slightly injured the wife of a Civil Guard officer and damaged a barracks complex where Civil Guard officers live with their families, the Interior Ministry said.
