Pay for Jury Duty

* Although it is true that jurors will receive $15 per day instead of $5, you now will not receive pay for the first day (July 12). For some inexplicable reason, the new law provides for pay beginning the second day. Also, you still receive 15 cents per mile for mileage but only for one way.

Having just reported for jury service, I am impressed with the quality and dedication of the prospective jurors and firmly believe that the recommended pay of $25 should have been enacted.
