Collectors Universe Buys Odyssey Publications

Collectors Universe Inc., a Newport Beach provider of grading and authentication services to the collectibles markets, said Tuesday that it has acquired privately held Odyssey Publications Inc. in an all-cash transaction.

The price was not disclosed.

Odyssey publishes Autograph Collector, an autograph magazine, as well as other periodicals and price guides for the celebrity autograph market. Bill Miller and Darrell Talbert, principals of Odyssey, have signed multiyear employment agreements with the company.
