California Amplifier Signs Pact to Supply Equipment

California Amplifier Inc. in Camarillo has signed a three-year agreement with Look Communications Inc. to be the exclusive supplier of integrated antennas and down converters for Look’s digital video systems and two-way transceivers for its fixed wireless Internet-access and Web-related services.
“California Amplifier has been a key supplier to Look Communications since our roll-out of wireless cable video services,” said Ralph Von Eppinghoven, Look’s vice president of engineering.
Look Communications holds 12 out of 13 multi-point distribution system licenses in Canada. It currently operates as an exclusive provider of its wireless digital broadcast distribution services in Ontario and Quebec, with plans for expansion across Canada. Its Internet business serves consumers in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
