5 Students Questioned in Vandalism at High School

Five seniors from Blair High School have been questioned by police in connection with a spree of vandalism at their campus earlier in the week.

Pasadena Unified School District police said they would probably recommend that city police press charges against the four 18-year-olds and one 17-year-old male students.

Sgt. William Saltsman said the vandals caused about $10,000 to $15,000 in damage early Wednesday by dumping motor oil on exterior hallways, putting glue in door locks and painting obscenities on sidewalks. Students were unable to attend classes for much of Wednesday while locksmiths worked to open the doors.
