The reggae, ska and rock-steady sounds of the ‘70s and early ‘80s are the order of the day at the fourth annual Reggae Old School Jam, a nine-hour festival featuring Barrington Levy, Leroy Sibbles, Johnny Clarke, Linval Thompson, Michigan & Smiley, Mikey “Mac Daddy” Jarrett and Justin Hinds & the Dominoes. Daddy U-Roy will receive a special award during the concert.

The first two films of Francis Ford Coppola’s “Godfather” trilogy--”The Godfather” (1972) and “The Godfather, Part II” (1974)--will screen for three days at the New Beverly Cinema. The films follow the saga of the Corleone crime family and are considered touchstones of American cinema. The casts include Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, John Cazale, Sterling Hayden, Robert De Niro and, as the patriarch Don Corleone, Marlon Brando.

Face it, Dad doesn’t want another necktie or fishing lure for Father’s Day. Instead, spend some quality time at the Concours on Rodeo 2000. It’s the ultimate 20th century car show, with one vehicle representing every year from 1901 to 2000. Among the fancy autos will be Dusenbergs, Bugattis, Ferraris and one-of-a-kind production models. Noted car collector (and “Tonight Show” host) Jay Leno will show his 1909 Stanley Steamer, which runs on a 20-horsepower boiler steam engine. More up-to-the-moment designs will be in the Chrysler Pavilion, where concept cars will be shown.

The American Cinematheque’s “Celebrating the New Hollywood of the 1960s and 1970s” series concludes with a screening of director Michael Cimino’s “The Deer Hunter,” which won five Academy Awards, including best picture. The 1978 film focuses on the lives of several working-class buddies who grew up together in a Pennsylvania steel town who then go to fight in Vietnam. Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, John Savage, John Cazale and Meryl Streep star. Cimino is scheduled to take part in a post-screening discussion.
