U.S. Gas Gets Even Pricier Than California’s

* Occidental Petroleum Corp. said it may sell some of its specialty-chemical businesses to pay down debt. The businesses have annual sales of about $430 million. The units probably would sell for $300 million to $400 million. Los Angeles-based Oxy said it will take an $80-million, or 22-cent, second-quarter charge to cover the sale. Oxy shares fell 88 cents to close at $22.75 on the New York Stock Exchange.
