But She Wouldn’t Hug One

Share

I loved Deanne Stillman’s observations on desert gardens and how happy it makes her to look at groupings of succulents and cacti (“Desert Rat,” So SoCal, May 21). I can definitely relate to her feeling of serenity and the sense that she is “at home” among these prickly, spiky, thorny, gangly life forms. There is something organic about being among them--the way they “hold onto life” like so many of us.
