Tickets.com Gets Assets of Alaska Online Firm

Tickets.com Inc. in Costa Mesa acquired the assets of Alaska-based online ticketing firm CarrsTix from a unit of food-and-drug retailer Safeway Inc. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
As part of the arrangement announced Monday, Tickets.com will receive future access to Safeway stores in Washington, Montana and Idaho.
CarrsTix assigned ticket seller Tickets.com its contracts with Alaska’s top venues, including the Alaska Center for Performing Arts and its three theaters.
