Not so long ago, it was embarrassing to host fast-pitch softball games at Rossmoor Park. According to players and fans who had made visits to the women’s restrooms at the park, the facilities were filthy.

Thanks to league officials, however, that is a thing of the past.

After directors of the Rossmoor Community Services District approved their proposal, league officials replaced tiles and toilets, mirrors and hand driers.

Coach and construction company owner Tom Bitner of Innovation Construction of Long Beach pitched in with labor and supplies after the league spent several thousand dollars.
